Our All Star Teams bring the nationally recognized Dance Mania tradition to the Midwest. As competitive and character-driven teams focused on growth, Dance Mania Iowa All Star Teams are designed for dancers who are ready to commit, grow, and perform at a high level. Our teams train with purpose, compete with integrity, and support one another like family.

Competitive Team Opportunities
Dance Mania Iowa offers multiple levels of competitive All Star teams, allowing dancers to train, perform, and compete in an environment that matches their age, experience, and readiness.
Our All Star teams combine artistry with athleticism and compete throughout the season at regional, national, and world-level events. A dancer’s age group and team placement determine practice schedules, competition opportunities, and overall commitment level, ensuring each dancer is set up to grow, succeed, and thrive as part of a team.
Intermediate All Star Teams
Tiny, Mini, and Youth Level Teams
Our Intermediate All Star Teams are designed for dancers who are new to competition or looking for a more balanced, time and budget-friendly competitive experience.
These teams train once per week and participate in our two local showcases and two regional competitions. Multiple Intermediate teams are offered across age groups and skill levels, with routines choreographed to support each dancer’s ability while building confidence, teamwork, and competitive experience.
A great structured introduction to competition, balancing a manageable commitment level with high-level training and performance opportunities.
Premier All Star Teams
Tiny, Mini, Youth, Junior, Senior, Open
Our Premier All Star Teams represent the highest level of competitive training at Dance Mania Iowa. These teams are designed for dancers and families who are ready to elevate their training and opportunities.
Multiple Premier teams are offered across age groups and skill levels, with practice hours, performance opportunities, and competition schedules varying by team. Dancers perform in our two local performances and 3 regional competitions. Select teams compete at the Varsity All Stars Summit, and our senior teams compete at the Worlds Competition.

Our dancers who dream of performing on a college dance team floor have access to the only College Dance Prep program in the nation. Dance Mania College Prep Academy is designed to prepare both athletes and parents to confidently navigate the college dance recruitment process, providing the training, guidance, and resources needed for success at the next level.

All Star Team
Evaluations & Placement
Each year, we host annual dance team evaluations in May to build our teams for the upcoming season. Dancers first attend an evaluation clinic for their age group, allowing dancers and families to learn more about the program. Those attending will dance, meet new friends, get to know the Dance Mania Iowa Coaching Staff, and learn a combination to perform at the evaluation.
All Star Team Evaluations then take place in a scheduled appointment-style format one week after the clinic for those interested in signing up for a team.
